The Site Superintendent oversees the day-to-day, on-site operations of construction sites – overseeing jobs from beginning through completion – ensuring that the project is completed safely, efficiently and according to project plans, specifications and schedule. The Superintendent serves as the liaison between the crew and the project manager and is expected to proactively collaborate with the project manager on project progress, schedule, and budget, among others matters. The Superintendent directly supervises all on-site crews and subcontractors and manages the daily activities (schedules, deliveries, equipment) coordinating work to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. In this role, the Utility Site Superintendent conducts regular site inspections and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Company and regulated safety protocols.
General Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction supervision or field management
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, safety standards and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in field documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Construction scheduling/project management software (i.e., Bid2Win) preferred.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required.
- The position requires the competition of a successful background check.
